The award is instituted by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and administered in India by the National Productivity Council (NPC) under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India. It is regarded as one of the country\u2019s key recognitions for advancing productivity and competitiveness across sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recognition comes at a time when the lab-grown diamond sector continues to expand its role within India\u2019s gem and jewellery industry. The conferment also marks the sector\u2019s growing economic and strategic relevance. In the past, the APO National Award has been presented to industry leaders such as Mr Anil Naik of Larsen & Toubro and Dr Verghese Kurien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Limbasiya has been associated with the lab-grown diamond industry since 1998 and is credited with producing India\u2019s first lab-grown diamond in 2004.
