The mine is also credited for having yielded Botswana\u2019s\u00a0largest fancy pink diamond\u00a0to date, the Boitumelo.<\/p>\n<p>Botswana is the world\u2019s largest producer of diamonds, and the trade has transformed it into a middle-income nation.<\/p>\n<p>Karowe remains one of the highest-margin diamond mines in the world, producing\u00a0an average of\u00a0300,000 high-value carats\u00a0each year.<\/p>\n<p>Shares of Lucara rose 8% by 11:40 a.m EDT in Toronto. The miner has a market capitalization of C$221 million ($162 million).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t<div
