India’s gold industry is steadily embracing digital transformation, and the latest investment in India Gold Metaverse (IGM) signals growing confidence in technology-led solutions for one of the country’s oldest and most valuable sectors.

India Gold Metaverse has raised ₹300 crore through a private equity investment and secondary placement to develop what it describes as the country’s first integrated digital infrastructure for the gold economy. The funding will support technology development, product commercialisation, ecosystem expansion, strategic partnerships, regulatory initiatives and team growth.

The investment round attracted participation from several prominent investors, including Ashish Kacholia, Jagdish Master Family Office, Waaree Family Office, Ravi Sheth Family Office and Anuj Sheth Family Office. The transaction was facilitated by investment bank Pantomath Group.

Mentored by Jignesh Shah, Founder of 63 Moons Technologies, India Gold Metaverse is building a connected technology ecosystem that combines blockchain, artificial intelligence and financial market infrastructure.

The platform comprises four core products: Elanzia, an aggregation platform for jewellers and bullion participants; RamMudra, a blockchain-enabled platform for digital gold and coins; GoldSense, an AI-powered gold purity verification engine; and BullionX, an institutional trading platform designed to improve price discovery, liquidity and settlement.

Commenting on the fundraise, Lamon Rutten, Managing Director and CEO of India Gold Metaverse, said the investment reflects growing confidence that India’s gold industry is ready for technology-driven transformation. He added that the capital will accelerate platform development while expanding partnerships and strengthening the broader ecosystem.

Mahavir Lunawat, Chairman and Managing Director of Pantomath Group, said the platform has the potential to become foundational digital infrastructure for the gold economy by bringing together technology, trust and market efficiency within a unified ecosystem.

Looking Ahead

For decades, India’s gold ecosystem has relied on trusted relationships, physical networks and established trading practices. As the industry becomes increasingly organised, technology is beginning to play a larger role in improving transparency, efficiency and accessibility across the value chain.

Platforms that integrate blockchain, artificial intelligence and digital trading infrastructure have the potential to reshape how gold is verified, traded and managed. While adoption will ultimately depend on industry participation and regulatory support, growing investor interest suggests that digital infrastructure is becoming an increasingly important part of the conversation.

For jewellers, bullion dealers and financial institutions alike, the focus is gradually shifting from digitising individual products to creating connected ecosystems that support the future of India’s gold economy.
